A training material for young influencers (5 per country) will be developed on how to enable their peers (NEETs and other young vulnerable people) to increase their civic and political engagement through media literacy and critical thinking. This training material aims at preparing the young influencers for assuming the role of the leader and stimulating their peers to participate in civic and political life.
The content will be divided into thematic areas, including: identification of fake news, propaganda and manipulation, teaching media literacy skills toyoung vulnerable people, promote civic and political engagement.
Youth National Advisory Groups consists of 3-5 experienced young influencers and activists and provide guidance to the young leaders for the development and implementation of peer-to-peer engagement through myth busting actions.
The experienced young influencers will be selected from the Youth National Advisory Groups and they will have the responsibility to strengthen the European dimension.
The e-learning platform will serve both as an e-learning tool for the young influencers (including the capacity building programme) and as an online space, where NEETs and other young vulnerable people could communicate with young influencers in order to establish a strong network and to facilitate their cooperation. Also, digital modules will be available for NEETs and other young vulnerable people on how to counter manipulation, populism, propaganda and fake news.
A toolkit on peer-to-peer Myth Busting Action will be developed, which will be used by the Young Leaders to design and implement youth myth busting actions, aiming at promoting civic and political engagement of the young vulnerable people (mainly NEETs).
The young leaders will organize myth busting teams, aiming at promoting the civic and political engagement of NEETs and other young vulnerable people. These teams will consist of NEETs and other young vulnerable people.
The main activities of the myth busting teams will be the identification of myth busting facts (fake news, propaganda, manipulation).
Policy Recommendations Papers will be developed in national and European level in order to recommend best practices, methodologies and activities regarding the civic and political engagement of youth (mainly NEETs).
